On September 17, 2024, Executive Directors of Public Housing Agencies (PHA) received word that the Housing Information Portal (HIP) would not be ready to accept submissions by the January 1, 2025 deadline imposed by PIH. The following day, an additional memo circulated that formally announced that compliance with some of the income and assets provisions in Sections 102 and 104 of HOTMA was no longer required by the deadline. There is currently no known compliance date for PIH programs.
On September 20, HUD MFH published Notice H 2024-09, which extends the HOTMA compliance deadline to July 1, 2025 in its programs.
